Arranging a venue for crafting for who knows how many people has been really difficult. This is group with very diverse paper interests . Plus, there are some people who want to play, and others who are very serious about their art. I've decided it would be best to just get to know one another, and then if groups of people want to get together "offline" for craft time - great. If a few people are getting together to do some stuff and want to extend the invite - terrifc, I'll let the rest of the group know and post it.

Instead, I am arranging Paper and Beer. Or soda if you don't drink. Show up, have a drink of your choice and show off your artwork if you'd like. Or bring nothing. Just chat with other people who are art enthusiasts, maybe make a few new artist friends. The point of the group is to meet other art enthusiasts with a special emphasis on paper. I know its at 8:15, but if anyone wants to gather a bit earlier, that's fine. ( I get out at 8)

The venue will be chosen somewhere in Chelsea probably. Nothin too fancy. I'm gonna try to find a casual place - I'll let you know where in a few days. And if nobody wants beer/wine/cider or soda and a show and tell, that's fine. I'll sit there by myself, have a drink and read about book arts. Beats tv.

Please do not reply-all to the collage email list if you have a suggestion. Please write me directly. Thanks!

    •  Amanda was very easy to spot in her leopard print cartigan. Good night of people exchanging very different approaches to making art books, trading poetry, snap shots of us all in a mask passed around, and hailing the miraculous benefits of ending a tipsy night with cheese fries & good bleary eyed conversation. Looking forward to the next one.
    •  Thanks to all who came! It was a diverse group and we had a good time looking at each other's art while having a beer or two.
